For several years, the Nebraska SAS Users Grooup has provided an informative one-day meeting for the Nebraska and surrounding areas SAS user community. The Nebraska SAS users group had lain dormant in the years just prior to 2003. In that year, then Chairperson Randy VanBeek organized the group under a new set of bylaws, which were ratified on May 20, 2003. After another two-year dormancy, Rob Rohrbough contacted SAS in order to have NebSUG officially recognized as a local user group. The group held its "Inaugural" meeting on November 15, 2005. We held a second one-day meeting on September 14, 2006. Since taking the initiative to get the local SAS Users Group registered with SAS Institute and organizing the Inaugural Meeting with the help of Sierra Information Services, the group has flourished. It would not have been possible without the groundwork accomplished in that organizational meeting in 2003. Documents resulting from that first organizational meeting are two:

The Bylaws were signed by Randy VanBeek (Chairperson), and the minutes were signed by Rob Rohrbough (Secretary) Signed copies may be viewed at any General Membership Meeting. On June 19, 2007, the general membership at the Third Annual One Day Meeting, the following bylaw changes were approved to support the one-day annual meeting format:
