This second general membership meeting was held on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the Scott Conference Center, on the University of Omaha's Aksarben campus.  We had a successful turnout of forty-one SAS users in spite of the first ice storm of the season.

Andrew Karp of Sierra Information Services led the meeting with a morning seminar, "Getting the Most from the SAS Data Step".

The afternoon was filled with papers from Andrew Karp, Jim Noe (the Kansas City Area SAS Users Group chairperson), and Rob Rohrbough, of Rohrbough Systems Design, Inc.  Papers included the following:

  • Steps to Success with PROC MEANS, Andrew Karp
  • Table Lookups... You Want Performance?, Rob Rohrbough
  • Concatenating inputs using SAS on the PC, Jim Noe
  • (Two papers on ODS), Andrew Karp

The Table Lookups paper may be downloaded from RSD's site.  Andrew Karp's may be found at Sierra Information Services site.  Jim Noe's paper on concatenating inputs may be found on the KC Area User Group's website; click on the "Download Presentation Material" link and find the first paper listed under KCASUG News, on the right.
