NEBSUG's Sept. 14th meeting opens with a Keynote Address by the Hon. Rick Sheehy, Nebraska's Lieutenant Governor. His presentation, "Nebraska's Information Technology Initiatives," will highlight IT projects and programs in the Cornhusker State, and provide an overview of the State's strategic IT initiatives.

Lt. Governor Sheehy was twice elected Mayor of Hastings, NE prior to his appointment in 2005 by Governor Dave Heinemann as Lieutentant Governor. He serves as presiding officer of the state legislature, chair of the statewide information technology commission and as director of homeland security for the State of Nebraska.
